We just got home from a weekend at the Hinds cabin, near Luck Wisconsin, where we've spent the Fourth of July almost every year since we met. This year we brought the baby, and another couple bought their two dogs, golden retriever-poodle crosses called Doodles. The dogs were very friendly and one even let Liam sit on his back. Liam was passed around from one set of welcoming arms to the next, and he didn't seem to mind, but he had a hard time getting to sleep after all that excitement. We had an excellent paella last night for dinner, followed by many unsuccessful attempts to launch a fireball potato out of the spud gun.Today Will and I got to go out on the notoriously malfunctioning pontoon boat while Jenny watched Liam. We floated and sunbathed, and the boat re-started without a problem, for once.
In other news, Liam got a tooth on Friday! It's the lower left, and he was a pretty good sport about it.
