Here's Liam watching the Ghana vs. Czech Republic game in the World Cup today. Obviously he was rooting for the Czechs; he started crying after they lost.We took him to the pediatrician for his four month checkup this week. He's a healthy little boy, and we're thankful for that!
The doctor said we can start him on solid foods any time now, so the next day I bought some rice cereal and mixed it up nice and soupy for him. Not surprisingly, Liam was interested in the goop - he'll accept anything that fills
his tummy. He sucked and chewed on the spoon, licked it off his fingers, and spit a lot of it out, but he did manage to swallow some too.Liam's Grandma Lemke (my mom) was here for 5 days last week and she was a lot of help. She and the boy had a good time together, playing with some new toys she brought for him, and she really got him giggling. She also spent several hours one evening busting up chunks of sod to make a new flower bed for us. I invited her to come watch Will's softball game and she said no, she was having too much fun digging! Now we've got a row of hostas and such, new shrubs in the front, a semi-weeded flower bed in the back...our yard is looking better than it has in years.
