We were talking about signing Liam up for a summer sport, and I gave him three choices. I drew a soccer ball next to the word soccer, a ball and bat next to t-ball, and waves next to swimming. I asked him to consider it, then circle which kind of camp he wanted to go to.
Liam asked me to leave the room so he could make his choice privately. When he came out, he had crossed out all three choices. He also drew a fourth choice and crossed that out: a picture of a table with a pot on it. I guess he suspected the theme was Camps About Stuff Mom Is Interested In, and wanted to make sure he didn't end up in cooking camp. The fifth one was a shopping cart (?) with what looked like diner-style ketchup bottles in it. Art camp! Liam wants to go to a camp he saw in a picture, where kids get to squirt paint out of, yup, ketchup bottles.
...little does he know that art is highest on the list of Stuff Mom Is Interested In.
