Sunday at church, I sat next to a five-year-old from another family. While my own sons were off in the nursery, kids were invited to bring up offerings for Haiti and put them in a basket.
The boy next to me tapped my arm. "Do you have any money for Haiti?" I had just been to the cash machine, and I had some $20 bills in my wallet, but nothing smaller. "No, not today." "Are you sure?" "Nope, sorry." About five minutes later he solicited me again. "Could you just LOOK in your purse and see if you have ANYTHING?"
He danced up to the altar with my money.
