Liam, 3 1/2

Liam's half birthday is today. At just under 42 inches tall, he's as big as some 5-year-olds, but I can still haul him around on my hip when I need to.

Here's a picture from a couple weeks ago when he wrote his name, from right to left. He was so proud of himself. He has become much more independent this summer, dressing himself, cutting up his own food, and even going to a summer camp program at the park.

I'm delighted by his stellar vocabulary, which expanded again this week to include enormous and ferocious. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of trains, of course, too.
