We are NOT buying a minivan.

But we do need a new car. The day before Timothy was born, Will crashed the Focus a couple blocks from our house, when another driver ran a stop sign. He was not hurt, but the car was totalled.

[Correction requested by Will: he did not crash the car, he was the victim of an accident. Sorry man, I didn't mean to imply it was your fault.]

We wish it would have been the other car, which we were planning to replace in a year or two. But at least no one was hurt.

Now we have to decide what to replace it with. Everyone says when you have a second child, you buy a minivan. But not us - for one thing, how would we fit it in our garage? We want the smallest, most fuel efficient vehicle that can hold two carseats. Will has been looking on the internet, and we will probably test drive a few cars as soon as Timothy is ready to be left with a bottle and a grandparent.
