Last day at the office

Yesterday was my last day at the office, and now I'm semi-officially on maternity leave.  I feel healthy, and only moderately uncomfortable, going into this 40th week of pregnancy.  However, partly because of the holiday weekend, I decided to call it quits a week before the due date and put my feet up for a little while.  I will continue to do a little work from home (in my pajamas).

I left the office with a big smile on my face, a clean desk, nothing on my to do list, no messages...I wish every day was like that!  Work might be a lot more enjoyable, in general, if nothing could be saved until tomorrow.  It forces one to prioritize, ask for help, and refuse any tasks that will be impossible to complete on time.

I imagine my coworkers who have responded to my requests for help, and accepted those tasks I didn't have time to complete, have a different perspective on this!  Thanks to everyone for filling in, and for all the well-wishing.  I am absolutely confident that the office will run smoothly in my absence, and that's another reason I left with that smile on my face.
