Bodies

The toilet training has evoked some questions from Liam about bodies.  Yesterday he wanted to know, where was the door where the baby would come out of my tummy.  I pointed, and he was satisfied.  Tonight, he was curious about his belly button.  I told him there used to be a cord coming out of it, and the cord was plugged into me, and it came off after he was born.  This was perfectly acceptable to him.  But then, when I showed him my own belly button and told him I used to be plugged in to Grandma...he gave me a skeptical look and quickly changed the subject.
