Ice Cream

We took Liam out for his first ice cream cone the other night. He did so well that I began to suspect he has been practicing behind our backs.

We've had a couple of beautiful summer days. This morning we made a big batch of pancakes, and as soon as we were done feasting we headed outside. Liam played in the swimming pool while I pulled the weeds which were threatening to completely overtake the garden. Then Grandpa (Bill) and Grandma (Joan) both came over and we had an impromptu picnic. I visited Amy & Kelly's annual BBQ and let Kelly easily beat me at the bean bag football game, then had a little nap...couldn't have asked for a nicer way to spend the 4th of July.
