How was your day?

On the way home from daycare today, Liam told me about his day.

L: Do dancing, Jeannie's house.
K: Who was dancing?
L: Kate dancing.
K: Kate's a pretty good dancer, isn't she?
L: Yes.
K: What kind of music were you listening to?
L: Listening to was a farmer, had a dog.

We are hearing more and more talking, with verbs, and prepositions, and gerunds. Actually I don't remember what a gerund is, but I suspect Liam has used one. It's fun to have a real conversation with him.

Recently, Liam was being impatient and fussy, and I asked him if he felt crabby. He scowled at me and said, "Mama's crabby too."
