We go on some outings

Liam and I left the house together for the first time on Sunday morning, and went to church. He slept through the whole thing - no reflection on Eric's sermon of course. I dressed him up in his fleece snowsuit and his little alpaca hat with the chin strap, harnessed him snugly into the car seat, and we were off. He's actually pretty easy to travel with at this point.

Tuesday we went to the doctor and he had a good checkup. But this time he wasn't sleeping. When we took his clothes off to weigh him, he had a dirty diaper and in the process of changing it, he sprayed pooh across the room! Ack!! Good thing we had a change of clothes and several extra diapers along. Anyway, he gained 11 ounces since we left the hospital, and he continues to grow and change every day. He hardly even looks like a newborn any more.

That afternoon the weather was gorgeous, so I went for a walk with the stroller. Along the way I encountered an elderly woman struggling with the sale sign in front of her house. She was trying to remove the heavy metal sign which was secured by very tight S hooks. Her fingers were bleeding and she was in quite a frazzled state. So I offered to help. Even with the two of us it took a lot of effort to get that sign down, but we finally did it. As I was walking away I heard her say, "Oh no, where did I put my keys?"
