Here he is! Our baby boy arrived on Wednesday, February 15th at about 2:00 in the afternoon.I drove myself and Will to the hospital early that morning - to be induced - and labor went pretty fast. He had a little help from a suction device on the final push, which left a little bruise on his head for a couple of days, but aside from that he is perfect.
His name is William John Graham XV, Liam for short. (We aren't really sure about the "XV," it's more legend than fact, but we know he is at least the 8th with this name.) At birth he weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was 21 inches long. He has dark brown hair, dark blue eyes that look as if they may turn brown, and gigantic feet.
And he already knows how to do some tricks:
- Lifting his head. He is amazingly strong, and while lying on his stomach, he can lift his head and turn it from one side to the other.
- Tracking objects with his eyes. He can't focus more that 18 inches or so in front of his face, but will follow something that is moved in front of him.
- Filling diapers. This is his specialty. It seems like every time we put a clean one on him, he immediately fills it up again.
- Looking incredibly cute! All we want to do is stare at him and admire him. The picture here is from his first bath, which he got through without crying at all. More pictures are posted here.
