A belated post about our trip to Michigan the week before last...we visited Houghton, on the Keweenaw Penninsula, where Will went to college (Michigan Tech). Here are a few pictures from our 4-day road trip.
We toured the Quincy copper mine, riding a tram down the hill, then a wagon into a tunnel. Timothy didn't like it when the guide turned off the lights for a moment.
It was late fall but there was still some color.
The boys loved playing on the beach. We were mostly on the western shore of the penninsula, Lake Superior.
Liam got to take some pictures.
Including this self-portrait.
This sign is near the start of Highway 41, which continues through my hometown in Wisconsin, and down to Florida.
