Library Card

Liam keeps his library card, along with
$5, in a little wallet under his pillow.
A couple weeks ago, Liam and I rode our bikes to the neighborhood public library, and he got his very own library card. He carefully signed his name on the back, then checked out three books. They were:

Walter the Farting Dog Goes on a Cruise
Guess what? Little boys like books about farts! This is part of a hilarious, irreverent series about a gassy dog. My favorite is when he finds the cheese and thinks to himself, maybe if I just lick it lightly, no one will notice.

Star Wars: Clone Troopers
If you look closely you can see how
he signed it with a sharpie.
One of those "easy reader" books and packed with facts about Star Wars characters. I now feel much more confident answering Liam's many, many questions. We watched the first movie (4) and he liked it, but didn't totally follow the story line, and kept asking, "Are those the good guys?"

The Owl and the Pussy Cat
With nerves of steel I read "O Pussy, O beautiful Pussy, I love you so!" and tried not to make eye contact with Will. Then we got to the part about the Bong Tree, and I paused, and raised one eyebrow...and that was that.
