NYE antics

On New Year's Eve my nieces were playing with the dress-up clothes at my parents' house.  Included in the collection is my old prom dress, and if I hold my breath, it still fits!  So I got in on the fun, and posed for a portrait.  I think the wool socks still look as classy with the dress as they did in '92, don't you?

We all toasted 2010 at about 10:30, and I confess we went to bed before midnight.  My sister's family and mine both stayed the night at Mom and Dad's.

Timothy was vomiting that night and the next morning, and then Liam and I both got it the next day.  Liam seemed to bounce back a lot faster than I did, and he kept coming around to comfort me, cover me with a blanket, and make sure my puke bucket was within easy reach.    He said I had a cold, and he would talk into my stomach: "Mama's cold, you go away and leave her alone!"  He said a prayer for me that night too.

  1. I wonder whatever happened to that blue sparkly dress we used to wear at the farm? You know, the Statue of Liberty dress!
