Steps

And now we have a toddler.  Timothy took his first steps tonight, about five of them. He also stood up on top of our toy piano.  I see bruises in that kid's near future.

Liam, not to be outdone, told us his three-step recipe for strawberry jam.  "First you smoosh up some strawberries.  Next you put them in the oven until they're cooked.  Finally you mix it and spread it on toast."  I told him I was impressed with his use of first, next, and finally so that we knew the proper order.
