After kicking the idea around for several years, we're finishing a family room in our basement. Construction starts Tuesday. Today Will cleared everything out of the room and tore out the cedar plank walls.
Meanwhile, the kids and I went to an apple orchard with Joan. We came home with about 30 pounds of apples: Haralsons and Cortlands for pie, Sweet 16 and lots of Honey Crisp for munching. Timothy happily perched in the backpack while I was picking, and Liam got to ride on a hay wagon.
