Pride

The kids and I marched in the Pride parade today, with Lutherans Concerned. Not long after we arrived at the meeting place, we found out our group was almost at the very end of the parade, so we decided to walk down the route and meet up with some friends to watch. When the Lutherans came by, over two hours later, we jumped in and marched the rest of the way with them.

What exactly am I proud of today? Well for one thing, I'm proud of my two boys, who endured three hot thirsty hours of overstimulation, with smiles on their faces. I'm proud of Amy (pictured) and Kelly for their courage and perseverance, for their love for each other and Jason, and for being great friends to us. And I'm proud of my church for affirming all the different kids of people God created.

Here's Timothy taking a snooze.
