At his 2 month checkup, Timothy was over 14 pounds and 25 1/2 inches long - putting his dot nearly off the top of the growth chart. I can attest that he has a big appetite to match his size.Around 8 weeks old, he started sleeping a bit longer at night, and this week he set a new record of 7 hours. It's amazing how fast this becomes the new Normal. Not long ago, I would have been thrilled if he slept 3 hours at night. Now I am disappointed, even annoyed, if it's not more.
We've heard a few chuckles and even an all-out giggle. The first laugh was when I was playing peek-a-boo, and I don't know what possessed me to try that game, because babies that age don't understand object permanence. "Oh, I guess my mom no longer exists. Yes she does. No she doesn't. Yes she does." You'd think it would be traumatic. But he just thought it was funny.
It just goes to show that you never know what will delight a child. One of Liam's favorite games is pretending we have no teeth. Timothy smiles too when we do that, probably just because Liam's joy is contagious. It's already apparent that Big Brother is the sun in Timothy's solar system.
okay, this photo is one of the most adorable pictures I have ever seen!
