Standing on the scale Sunday night, I had to face the facts. I have been in a pattern of over eating for the past few months. And it culminated last weekend, when we ate out for every meal, indulging in pastries and cookies and cheesy saucy things. It was delicious, but enough is enough.
I felt that I had to shock myself back into good eating habits, so I searched the internet for a diet plan. I found this gem that is published on an English web site and it gives detailed menu plans for 21 days, featuring a lot of potatoes and fruit and vegetables, plus some English foods/terms that make it kind of fun.
Does anyone know what a "rasher" of back bacon is? How about a "pot of fruit whip" or an aubergine? I think that is an eggplant...?
